Reverse Osmosis Filters (donestic & commercial)
Reverse Osmosis is very treatment method for reducing the total dissolved solids in the water, thus bring the water quality to drinking standards and is the most advanced of liquid filtration. In the reverse osmosis process, water is passed under perssure thro,a semi- perneable membrane having a pore dia of 0.0001 m which is samll than bacteria um to 1 um) and virus (0.02 um to 0.04 um ) thereby ensuring effective filtration (99%), So that even such fine impurities cannot escape thro' the membrane. This mambrane is made of thin, muti-layered high quality polyamide sheets. The design of the RO PLANT is primarily based on two factors. TDS content in the feed water and the recovery/reject ratio. In the separation process, purified water permeates the membrane and is collected seprately, while the reject water contaning concentrated dissolved and suspended solids is discharged to the drain.

The feed water flows continuously across the membrane. And the rejected solids get into the flow and is sent to the reject port. This this process continues without clogging the membrane. Measured dosing of anti-scalent chemical in done to avoid fouling of membrane.
RO process is very effective in the removal of chemical contaminants like chlorides, nitrates, fluorides, lead, copper, mercury, sulfates, calcium and magnesium in addition to the removal of physics and micro biological impurities. |
